West Port Timber Windows and Doors Ltd
West Port are manufacturers of high performance and bespoke timber windows, doors and fire doorsets for the domestic and commercial market. We are proud to be a successful British manufacturer based in Maryport and we produce timber products that combine quality engineering and technical know-how with designs that suit British buildings, traditional or contemporary.
In the fire door market we specialise in the manufacture of FD30 and FD60 fire doorsets and due to considerable investment in testing we hold one of the largest portfolios of primary fire door test evidence in the UK supported with accreditation from Bluesky Certification.
As a large local employer, we contribute greatly to the economy, ensuring we support the community and businesses around us. We recently expanded our production workforce and are currently looking to recruit again in all areas of the business.

“Throughout 2020 we continued to keep production going under strict COVID-19 Secure conditions. With non-production staff working from home when required we were able to keep in touch with our customers and secure significant work for 2020 and well into 2021. Production has continued to operate through the 3 lockdowns, safeguarding jobs, incomes, and our employees’ families with a secure Covid-19 workplace.
As we enter 2021, we have the highest order book in our 16 year history, allowing us to continue our investment in new machinery and recruit ten staff at the end of 2020 with a further 12 staff being recruited across all areas of the business.
Having secured 4 major fire door replacement programmes over the next 4 years we now have more than 50% of our turnover lined up for 2021 and beyond. We are currently adding new door lines and we have expanded our paint lines, which will increase our capacity for production. This growth has permitted further expansion into healthcare, education and social housing guaranteeing a bright future at West Port.”
