Tracing our history back to 1945, TSP Engineering was primarily established to meet demand in the iron and steel industry, equipped to make mining machinery, mine cars and ingot moulds. Today, TSP Engineering has become so much more.
Located on Britain’s Energy Coast in Workington, TSP Engineering offer technical solutions to complex problems, delivering heavy engineering to precision. Offering a full range of services from design, consultancy, and project management, to manufacture and refurbishment along with electrical engineering, instrumentation, and testing. Our facilities, locality and engineering experience make TSP Engineering a key supplier to the nuclear, defence and security, oil and gas, steelmaking, and construction industries.
Over the years, TSP Engineering has become a major part of the local community, seeing many generations of families walking in the same building, working on the same machines. It’s important for us to continue our legacy, our heart, and our sense of community. One of our aims is to continue to invest in local people and the next generation, providing them with the skills and tools to enable them to be the future of Manufacturing whilst continuing to put Cumbria on the map, feeding into the local economy.
We believe collaboration is key and understand the importance of support therefore, it’s our priority to invest time and resource into the community. Each year we take part in local initiatives, recently taking part in the Supply Chain Opportunity Club, Family Business Placement Scheme, Creating Careers in Cumbria, and Allerdale Days. All these initiatives increase Cumbria’s profile – putting us on the map, bringing people together in the business community and encouraging businesses to work together, sharing knowledge.
One of the greatest things about TSP Engineering is the variation of staff, some of whom began their journey as an apprentice and continued their career development here, to others who joined us later in their career journey. We truly believe a business is only as good as its employees, so it’s a priority of ours to invest in our team to ensure they feel valued and appreciated whilst having support and accessibility to training and further learning to allow them to achieve.
